Nail of the Day: Barry M Gelly Satsuma

Personal Collection
*This product is Cruelty Free

I forgot to show you my NOTD from yesterday! I'll make it short and sweet - Barry M Gelly Satsuma.

Satsuma is a medium to dark orange, actually a red-based orange, creme that is opaque in two easy coats. It dries super shiny and I didn't use a top coat for the photos. No issues to report at all!

I really hadn't planned on blogging this one so please excuse my lack of clean up.

What do you think?

Twinks liked it I think! ♥

I was thrilled with both the formula and the color. It's really striking against pale skin and I got several compliments on it. It's so bold!

Barry M is widely available in the UK, and in the US, it's available at Ninja Polish.

Barry M Denim - Swatches and Review

Another Sunday night - "from the vaults" post...Barry M Denim. This was last week - obviously before I chopped all my nails to nubs.

I had NO issues with this polish at all. Application was smooth and easy and I used two coats for full opacity. One would do, actually. It dries to a semi-matte finish, making it really look like denim! So I'm showing it with no top coat, for the original finish and then with one coat of Poshe so you could see it both ways.

What do you think of this one? Do you have it already?

Barry M polishes are widely available in the UK BUT they can be purchased here in the States at a few e-tailers, including Ninja Polish and they retail for around $6.50 to $7.50. And for you lucky Canadians, Harlow and Co. carries Barry M, too - and ships to the US! They retail for $7.00.

30 Day Challenge Day Ten - Gradient Nails

Day TEN - Gradient Nails!  The only gradients I've managed to pull off so far are glitter gradients, so that's what I went with again.

Lynnderella The Garden of Even Gradient over Barry M Indigo

Since we are really trying to use untrieds from our stash, I chose Lynnderella the Garden of even layered in a gradient over Barry M Indigo for this challenge. I was really surprised how much I really like Barry M Indigo! And I didn't have any issues with formula or application. The Garden of Even did really look like it was in a clear base, but it is slightly milky. I don't know if it's intentional or if there's bleeding, but it's there.

30 Day Challenge Day Six - VIOLET with Barry M Bright Purple

Barry M Bright Purple

For VIOLET day I chose Barry M Bright Purple. Violet is one of my all-time FAVORITE colors and I prefer something between violet and red violet like this one. When I first saw "violet" I thought purple, which it is, but I wanted to make sure my perception of what violet is matched what violet actually is. So I pulled up a color chart.

My favorite shade is the violet of a wine cup flower...

Since I'd already used Illamasqua Stance (which is a perfect match for the wine cup) that left Barry M Bright Purple! Bright Purple is just one of these gorgeous violet shades that I love. Application was great - smooth formula. Two easy coats for full opacity. Shown in all photos with two coats of color and no top coat. It dries very shiny.

30 Day Challenge Day Five - BLUE with Barry M Cobalt Blue

Day Five of the Challenge is Blue so I pulled out another untried, Barry M Cobalt Blue and you wouldn't BELIEVE my astonishment when I found out it was a ONE-COATER! I'd only used it once for a fishtail mani and had no idea! Application and formula were perfection. Photos are with ONE coat of color and NO top coat! It dries super shiny.
