Pure Ice Monte Carlo - Swatches and Review

My NOTD is a jelly. A Pure Ice jelly! Regular readers will already know that I am not a fan of jellies for myself because I'm just too lazy to build the color with all those tedious coats and long dry time. But 1) I didn't know this was a jelly until I had the first coat on, 2) the color was so pretty I decided to go ahead with it and 3) I'd never actually tried a jelly sandwich, so I seized the opportunity - but only on an accent nail.

There are lots of new Pure Ice polishes in an elusive (so far to MY Walmart) display - called The Runway Nail Trends and they are supposedly Limited Edition. There are 55 new polishes divided into five collectionsVelour Finish, Diamond Couture, French Trends, Metro Chic and Party Glam. (See my post about some of the Velours here.)

Monto Carlo is one of the new ones. Not sure which "collection" though. It's a pretty violet/violet pink jelly. I used three coats and one coat of Poshe. On the accent nail, I used one coat of Monte Carlo, one coat of Sticks and Stones glitter polish and one more coat of Monte Carlo. It builds nicely, but I'm SO not good at applying jellies, so it doesn't really look even to me.

And yes, I do polish my right hand too!

What do you think of this one? Do you jelly?

Pure Ice polishes are (usually) available at Walmart stores (and some Walgreens now I hear) nationwide and retail for $1.97. You can also order online at Bari Cosmetics.
