Koh Colours! Funky - Swatches and Review

This evening I have another one from Koh Colours to show you...Funky.

According to Koh Colours! all of their polishes are infused with topaz to give them a hard and lasting finish. Koh is a Dutch cosmetics company. Funky is from their recent KOH Sound Collection and it's a pale grey shimmer with a hint of blue in the base. The shimmers inside are a mix of pink and chartreuse. Application was good for this type of color. No issues to report. Two coats for full opacity. It's not 100% self-leveling but I didn't have a problem with it. Dries to a high shine. No top coat for the photos. The only issue I did have, you will see in the last photo.

And HERE was my problem. This was a brand new (supposedly) bottle straight from Koh. It arrived gunky around the neck and brush and NOT full.  This was BEFORE I used any for the photos above. I have several Koh polishes and this is the first time it happened. The other bottles were perfect. They would probably make it right, but I'm a world away and it would just be more trouble than it was worth to get a replacement, so I'm not going to bother. I'd still buy from them though. Mistakes do happen from time to time.

How about more KOH to end the day?

Let's have a look at Punk Up! According to Koh Colours! all of their polishes are infused with topaz to give them a hard and lasting finish. Koh is a Dutch cosmetics company. Punk Up is from their recent KOH Sound Collection and it's a gorgeous deep violet purple creme. The color is actually a smidge more plum/violet than the photos. Application was creamy and perfect. I used two coats and NO top coat for the photos.

We haven't had any Koh for a while and my friend Kim over at The Ides of Polish was recently able order a couple for me. Yay!

So this morning I have Holy Hip Hop to show you. According to Koh Colours! all of their polishes are infused with topaz to give them a hard and lasting finish. Koh is a Dutch cosmetics company. Holy Hip Hop is from their recent KOH Sound Collection and it's a gorgeous grey creme with khaki green undertones. Application was smooth and easy - two coats for full opacity. Shown with NO top coat. So shiny! No issues to report at all.

Koh Colours! Seduce - Swatches and Review

Today I have another Koh to show you - Koh Colours! Seduce.

According to Koh Colours! all of their polishes are infused with topaz to give them a hard and lasting finish. Koh is a Dutch cosmetics company. Seduce, part of the Koh Colours Sexy Collection, is a really pretty purple, no wait...blue, no wait...purple! It doesn't behave like a duochrome, but I think I'm going to call it that anyway. In some light it's a gorgeous sapphire blue and in other light it's the perfect violet purple. The satiny finish lends itself well to this phenomenon, too. I don't mean it dries to a satin finish, though - it dries to a nice gloss. But the finish is a bit tricky too. It almost reminds me of a frost, but it is without the visible brush strokes. The application wasn't as easy for me as the other Koh polishes I've tried as will be evidenced in the photos. But it wasn't bad. Since it was on the thin side, I had to be careful of pooling. Thin coats is the key with this one. I used 3 very thin coats and no top coat for the photos.

Koh Colours! Down Under - Swatches and Review

Saturday night and I'm pulling another Koh from the vaults!

According to Koh Colours! all of their polishes are infused with topaz to give them a hard and lasting finish. Koh is a Dutch cosmetics company. Down Under is a warm, brown based jelly full of iridescent flakies. Application was good and I used three coats for full opacity. Best to use 3 thin coats instead of two heavier ones to avoid pooling around the edges. No issues, though! Another great Koh flaky polish!

Koh Colours! Blue Universe - Swatches and Review

Another "from the vault" one I swatched a while back - Koh Blue Universe!

According to Koh Colours! all of their polishes are infused with topaz to give them a hard and lasting finish. Koh is a Dutch cosmetics company. Blue Universe is a darkened navy blue jelly base with multi-chrome flakes that shift from copper to gold to green to blue and silver micro-glitter. Application was good and I had opacity in two coats. Photos here are shown without top coat, but I do recommend a top coat for the Koh flakies polishes like this one and Black Stars. No issues to report.

Koh Colours! Jewel - Swatches and Review

This evening I have Koh Jewel to show you - from the vaults. I'm going to make it quick because I either have a migraine coming on or a horrible sinus headache and a nice long bath is calling my name...

According to Koh Colours! all of their polishes are infused with topaz to give them a hard and lasting finish. Koh is a Dutch cosmetics company. Jewel is a bright, fresh jade green creme with small flakes. Formula and application were great and I had no issues. I used two coats for full opacity and no top coat for the photos.

Koh Colours! Black Stars - Swatches and Review

It's FRIDAY!!!  Woot!  Today I have Koh Colours Black Stars to show you...

According to Koh Colours! all of their polishes are infused with topaz to give them a hard and lasting finish. Koh is a Dutch cosmetics company. Black Stars is a black jelly base with multi-colored glitter pieces and duochrome flakies! The application was easy and it was opaque in two coats. After the first coat, you think it will take 3 for opacity but the 2nd coat worked its magic. No issues to report. There is a bit of texture, so for a smooth feel, you will definitely need a top coat. I used Cult Nails Wicked Fast the first time I wore it and Poshe for the second set of photos (with the shorter nails.)
