GlitterDaze - Birthday Cupcake LE

♥

Tonight I have a Limited Edition polish from GlitterDaze called Birthday Cupcake to show you. It's only available starting tomorrow through March 7th. This is to celebrate GlitterDaze's birthday February 7th!

Birthday Cupcake is a milky white translucent shimmery base with soft pink hexes, holographic stars and violet shards. I've layered it over one light coat of a semi-opaque white to cover my stained nails. Two coats with one generous coat of Poshe top coat for the photos. I had no issues with this one other than just fishing out some stars and dabbing them where I wanted them, which is pretty normal.

First in indirect natural light...

GlitterDaze My Secret Admirer and Electric Chemistry

♥

Me again! Back with another two polishes from GlitterDaze's Love is in the Air Collection: My Secret Admirer and Electric Chemistry! (If you missed Champagne and Bubble Baths or Evermore, click the links.)

Here is GlitterDaze's own photo of the entire collection...

First, My Secret Admirer. Here's what the maker had to say about it:

Secret admirers are synonymous with flattery and pleasant surprises; you never know what to expect. My Secret Admirer channels the excitement that admirers bring along. A burst of red, and fuchsia glitters in all shapes and sizes shine through a pale pink base. Three even coats of this nail polish will achieve opacity.

This can be worn alone in about 3 coats but I layered it over one very thin coat of white to cover the staining on my nails for the photos. One medium-heavy coat of Poshe to make it smooth to the touch. I didn't have any issues with application or formula but I did have to place the hearts, which is to be expected.

Electric Chemistry. Here's what the maker had to say about this one:

When you’re around that special someone, there is an indescribable allure that consumes you with sparks of passion. It is a sultry and spectacular experience and this nail polish evokes such feelings. Electric chemistry is comprised of micro gunmetal and silver holographic glitters as well as medium light pink accents and black hearts. Apply one coat to embellish and accent your manicure or three coats for a super sparkly and opaque glitter polish! Make sure to smooth out this mani with a good, thick topcoat.

Electric Chemistry went on great - no issues to report except that I didn't get any black hearts, which was okay with me. They're in there though - I see one in the bottle (4th photo!) I've layered it over a medium silver/grey (SoFlaJo Silverado) and a silver on the accent nail (Milani Flashy Silver) for the photos - with one heavy coat of Poshe. I was expecting to need Gelous but I didn't!

GlitterDaze Evermore

♥

Good evening! Tonight I have another polish from GlitterDaze's Love is in the Air Collection: Evermore! I also have a few more from this collection I'll be showing you over the next few days. (If you missed Champagne and Bubble Baths this morning, click here.)

Here is GlitterDaze's own photo of the entire collection...

GlitterDaze Love in in the Air Collection

Evermore is a squishy red jelly glitter polish. Here's what the maker had to say about it:

Some relationships are meant to last forever; when it’s real, you’ll just know. Evermore is a bright, shimmery, red jelly nail polish that expresses a vision of everlasting love between two people. Silver, pink, and white glitters accent this polish and create a classic look with some modern sparkle. Evermore will be opaque in three even coats.

Pretty spot-on! I used three easy coats of this one and one coat of Poshe for the photos. No issues to report. Glitters are suspended nicely and spread well on the nail, lying flat.

GlitterDaze Champagne and Bubble Baths

♥

Happy Monday! This morning I have one of the polishes from GlitterDaze's Love is in the Air Collection: Champagne and Bubble Baths! I also have a few more from this collection I'll be showing you over the next few days.

Here is GlitterDaze's own photo of the entire collection...

And here's what the maker had to say about Champagne and Bubble Baths:

Nothing compares to the feeling of soaking in a warm, fluffy, pink bubble bath sprinkled with rose petals and a glass of sparkly champagne. This polish was inspired by that feeling and is made up of multi-sized pink hexes and hearts, gold bubbles and accents, and red rose petal hexes. Apply this glitter topper over a multitude of shades to achieve a variety of looks! Two coats will give great glitter coverage.

Champagne and Bubble Baths is a clear-based glitter polish with pink hexes, gold circle, hex and square glitters and even some gold shimmer. I didn't get any hearts, though, which was perfectly fine with me! Application was great and I didn't have to dig for any glitters or do any dabbing, everything spread nicely on the nail and laid perfectly flat. No issues at all to report. I've layered this one over a red base color (Illamasqua Throb) except for the accent nail where I used a gold polish (Borghese Lira.) One heavy coat of Poshe for photos.

What do you think of this one? I actually have very few polishes with pink glitters so I thought this was quite unique and special. I have a few more from this collection to show you over the next few days so stay tuned!

These are available for purchase now and you can "like" GlitterDaze on Facebook to stay up-to-date for more information. Polishes retail for $11.00 - 14 mL bottle and $6.00 - 7 mL bottle.

GlitterDaze: Limited Edition HoloDaze

Today I have a very special limited edition polish to show you from GlitterDaze: HoloDaze!

There will only be 16 of these available. They will retail for $12.00 each and will only be available in full size on the website www.GlitterDazeNP.com. The sale will start at 1:00 AM Central time on 11/23/12. (The bottle I'm holding in the photos is a mini that was sent to me strictly for showing you guys.)

HoloDaze is a forest green linear holographic with flakes and gold shimmer. The great thing about this polish is that there is always something interesting to see, even when the linear holo isn't as obvious! Actually, I haven't really found many lighting situations where the linear holo isn't showing, but in the shade/indirect light, the gold shimmer and flakes take over. And did I mention flakes? Twice already? Sorry. Well, just have a look, you'll see what I mean...

The application/formula on this one was great - I had no issues at all. I tried two heavier coats, which worked fine and then one coat over a plain black creme, which also worked fine (and you couldn't tell which was which) but when I wore it for the photos, I used three very thin coats. I also put on one coat of Poshe to see if it diminished the holo properties and it did not. Most photos here are without top coat. I've indicated which ones have top coat in the photo captions. It's also easy to remove. I highly recommend this one!

Again, there will only be 16 of these available. They will retail for $12.00 each and will only be available in full size on the website www.GlitterDazeNP.com. The sale will start at 1:00 AM Central time on 11/23/12.

They will also be having a sale on their website on 11/23/12 through 11/26/12  until 11:00 PM Central time. Most (but not all) polishes will be $9 instead of $11 until the sale ends and then they'll go back to their regular prices.

More GlitterDaze news: Originally, they were going to release a holiday collection with temperature changing polishes. There were some complications and they will not be adding them to the website. However, there is an album with swatches as well as pre-order purchase information on their Facebook page. If you are interested in those, be sure to check it out!
