Sneaking back in with swatches of the upcoming May 2016 A Box Indied! This month's theme is Kentucky Derby!

A Box Indied: May 2016
Kentucky Derby

The theme is Kentucky Derby! I used to go to Churchill Downs a lot when I was a kid. Only once was I there on Derby Day and it was SO crowded. And I wasn't in the wearing a hat and drinking mint juleps crowd HAHA! But it was always so fun. I loved seeing the horses. I haven't been back since moving home, but I intend to soon. It one of my strongest memories of the brother sister bond I had with my brother and every year I think of him and wish we could go one last time.

Black Cat Lacquer Run for the Roses - This one is a bright red glitter jelly with red and holo metallic hex glitters in various sizes and lots of golden shimmer. I used only 2 coats of this one for opacity. It's a smidge thick just to keep the glitters suspended so I fiddled with the 2nd coat a bit to get a good finish. One coat of top coat.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cirque Colors Flora Fete - This one is a clear-based glitter topper full of red, pink, magenta, periwinkle, yellow, coral and peach glitters in various shapes and sizes. I'm showing it over a neutral base of OPI My Vampire is Buff so you can see everything nicely. And then over a black accent nail. And finally, matted! No issues to report at all. One coat of shiny top coat for all photos except the matte.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

CbL Mint Julep - This one is a smooth linear green holographic with a blue and gold holo arc. Smooth and easy - two coats with one coat of top coat for the photos. No issues at all.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Crowstoes Dark Horse - This one is a black base full of silver and gunmetal shimmers and holo shimmer/sparks. No issues. Smooth application. Two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Girly Bits Hat-a-Tude - This one is hard to describe. It mainly has a purple tinted silver appearance with magenta shimmer, but the ingredients that make it appear that way are hard to dissect LOL! It's definitely a holo - scattered and possibly loose linear? Full of silver, purple, violet and magenta micro glitter with magenta shimmer. I used two coats and one coat of Glitter Glaze top coat. No issues at all.

This Kentucky Derby-themed box launches for pre-order at Llarowe on May 1st and the pre-order will remain open through May 4th so that everyone has a chance to order.

The price will still be $50 and the free shipping for the US is still in effect on the Llarowe site.

Please remember this ships from a different location so it must be ordered separately from any other items. Shipping will begin on or about the 15th.

There is no limit on how many boxes you can order.

As always, there are 5 random $25 GCs each month!
