Paint Box Polish
The North Shore Collection

Hi everyone! Before the summer gets away from me entirely, I have a great collection from Paint Box Polish to show you inspired by Hawaii and summer fun in the sun - The North Shore Collection! And there's a 20% off code at the end!

Catch me after the jump for full swatches and review.

In this 5-polish collection, we have 2 with ultra-chrome color-shifting flakes, a white/translucent and blue flake and 2 with gold holo glitter. I've attempted shots in full sun, artificial lighting and shade for all 5.

North Shore Shrimp Shack - this one is a highly saturated deep coral creme with blue to purple ultra-chrome flakes. The formula and application were perfect. BUT...this one does have a different sort of "ugly bottle syndrome" - not the white kind, but it will fool you. It shakes up quickly and easily back to gorgeous and the polish doesn't seem to be affected at all. Two coats with one coat of top coat.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Sunset Beach - this one is a yellow-green crelly (creme+jelly hybrid) with gold to green ultra-chrome flakes. You can layer this over a coordinating base color or wear alone. I used 3 light coats and one coat of top coat. No issues to report with formula or application.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Waimea Waters - this one is a blue-green jelly base jam-packed with gold holo glitter. I used 2 coats with one coat of top coat but for more opacity you can use 3 coats. No issues to report.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Haleiwa Town - this one is a berry pink/purple jelly base jam-packed with the same gold holo glitter as Waimea Waters. Same formula and application. I used 2 coats with one coat of top coat for the photos.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blue Above the Bay - this one is a super bright lagoon/sky blue with tons of white/translucent and blue flakes. I used two coats and one coat of top coat. No issues at all.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I also received a Mani Fizz. This is the Green Tea and Eucalyptus. I need to do these more often for sure because I love the way it made my hands and nails feel. But I'm pretty lazy.

There are three scents available: Green Tea & Eucalyptus, White Tea & Coconut and Beach Bum. Beach Bum is shaped like a gingerbread man and smells of suntan lotion. It was designed specifically for this North Shore Collection. The Mani Fizzes contain coconut oil, almond oil, aloe, and vitamin e for moisture. The Green Tea and Eucalyptus had a pleasant scent and it was not overpowering. General I'm very wary of scented thing but this one caused no issues and no headaches.  For a more in depth review of the Mani Fizzes, check out Jacki's post over at Adventures in Acetone.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

What do you think? Do you have any of these yet? Favorites? My favorites were North Shore Shrimp Shack and Sunset Beach. The flakes maybe? But the color-saturation of North Shore Shrimp Shack was just awesome.
