XOXO Nails: Goodie Two Shoes, Birthday Suit and He's Just Not Into U

Good evening! I have 3 polishes from XOXO Nails to show you tonight: Goodie Two Shoes, Birthday Suit and He's Just Not Into U.

Goodie Two Shoes is an off-white base with various shapes and sizes of pastel glitters. I used three coats of this one and one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos. No issues with formula.

Birthday Suit is a white-based glitter polish with various shapes and sizes of multi-colored matte glitters. I used 3 coats of this one and one coat of Poshe top coat. No issues with formula.

He's Just Not Into U is a nude base with turquoise holo glitter pieces. I used four coats of this one and one coat of Poshe for the photos. No issues with formula.

What do you think of these three? I liked He's Just Not Into U the best of the tree because it's such a subtle, more sparse glitter polish and the nude base looks better against my skin tone.

XOXO Nails - Don't Play Me

Good morning! Today I have another XOXO Nails polish to show you - Don't Play Me!

Don't Play Me is a white-based polish with pink, purple and yellow glitters in various sizes and shapes. I used three coats of this one on its own for opacity. I did have to do a bit of digging for the glitters on this one but nothing too bad. Doing the "mascara plunge" with the brush is the trick I think. No issues with the glitters and I used one coat of Poshe for the photos though I think two would smooth it out completely.

What do you think of this one? Definitely perfect for Spring/Easter!

XOXO Nails - Dottie

Good morning! Today I have XOXO Nails Dottie for you.

Dottie is described as a nude creme base with black and white glitters. I found it to be more of an off-white base but I am extremely pale so I don't know if that's the difference. I didn't really have any issues with the glitters lying flat on the nail but I did have to use a toothpick before starting to get the glitters stirred up and out on the brush. Formula was good and this is two coats and one light coat of Poshe top coat.

What do you think of this one? I definitely prefer the off-white to the stark white against my pale skin and the fact that I figured I'd have to use 3 or 4 coats or undies but only ended up needing two easy coats was definitely a plus for me!

XOXO Nails Patty's Delight Duo

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Today I have a great duo of polishes from XOXO Nails to show you - Patty's Delight, which consists of Don't Hate Me and Lucky Tips. These can be purchased together or separately in full size or minis - purchasing information at the end.

First up, Don't Hate Me. This one is a light grass green with a tiny glittery sparkle and tiny green glitters. I used 2 coats of this one and no top coat for the photos. No issues at all with formula or application.

Next up is Lucky Tips. This one is a clear-based glitter with green, lime and white glitter pieces. All the glitters came out nicely and laid perfectly flat on the nail. No dabbing required. I used two coats of this one over XOXO Don't Hate Me and then a bruised plum polish (Literary Lacquers If It Pleases You) and a plain black creme (Orly Liquid Vinyl) so you could see how it looks over different bases. One coat of Poshe top coat.

XOXO Nails

I never know how Monday is going to go so I'm going to take this opportunity tonight with a quiet house to show you a new-to-me indie polish maker! XOXO Nails. I received 4 polishes to swatch and review yesterday and they looked so pretty I decided to try them out right away.

After the clean up.

THIS is what happens in the mail sometimes.

Everything was packaged nicely so there was no spillage on any of the other bottles, thankfully!

So please excuse the bottle shots photo - they would have been so pretty all lined up in their fancy bottles. The good thing though - now I'm sure she uses stainless steel balls!

So let's start with my favorite of the four - the broken one. Coffee Date is a sheer nude-tinted base with small matte brown hex glitters and matte brown and copper microglitters. I've layered it over Kiko 399 - the new taupe holo. No issues with application, though it's a bit on the thin side and does need to be dabbed rather than brushed on. One coat of Poshe made it totally smooth.

Next up, Love Potion. Love Potion is a clear base with various sizes of black and red glitter pieces. I layered 2 coats of this one over Kiko 400 - the new grey holo and used one coat of Poshe to finish it off, although on this one I would recommend 2 coats or maybe one coat of Gelous for a smooth-to-the-touch feel. I used the dabbing method with this one as well to get the glitter pieces all over the nail. No issues - no curling glitters.

Next we have Lucky Pink. Lucky Pink is a clear base with pink shimmer, pink microglitter, various sizes and shapes of metallic glitter and matte black and white glitter. I used two coats, the second one mainly dabbing to get a good coverage of glitter pieces, over Kiko  402 - the new hot pink holo. No issues to report. I used one coat of Poshe but this one could probably use a coat of Gelous first to smooth everything to the touch. None of the glitters were curling - everything laid perfectly flat on the nail.

And finally we have Candy Girl. Candy Girl is a milky white base with various shapes and sizes of multi-colored matte glitter pieces. The name is perfect because it does remind me of candy. This one is also a thin base and is sheer so it will need to be layered over a white polish, which I've done here. I used two coats, brushed on not dabbed and one coat of Poshe to finish it off. No issues to report. Everything laid down nicely.
