GlitterDaze Winter 2014 - Seven New Holos!

*These products are Cruelty Free

GlitterDaze
Winter 2014

This collection is made up of 7 new holographic stunners!

The formula and application on all seven of these was the same. Perfect, easy formula and application. Two coats and no top coat for all the photos. The maker recommends 3 coats for full color depth, but I found two great for me. She also warns that the green is a stainer so double up on the base coat for that one. I don't really wear base coat myself, but I'd heed her words!

All are loose linear holographic polishes.

Seriously, the formulas were perfect.

Glitter Daze Colorpop Collection

*These products are Cruelty Free

Tonight I have the Colorpop Collection from Glitter Daze to show you! There are 10 new polishes just released that are perfect for summer.

Since this will be a long post, I'll dispense with the chatter and just get right to it! Prior to swatches of each one, in italics, you will see the maker's own description of each of the polishes, followed by my review.

L-R: Jetsetter Lifestyle, Icecream for Summer, Lei It On Me, Pucker Up Sunshine,
Neon Wasted, Life is But a Breeze, A Boardwalk to Remember,
Star So Bright, Summer Sprinkles and My Private Paradise

I didn't have any issues with formula or application on any of them, which is saying something considering there are TEN polishes! I did notice, however, that some of the larger neon glitters appear to be starting to disintegrate, which seems to be common for most of the neon glitters, regardless of brand.

Glitter Daze Browny Bear and Rainbow Bridge - to Benefit the National Canine Cancer Foundation

Press Sample
*This product is Cruelty Free

I have a special post for you this morning. If you keep up with Glitter Daze at all, you might have seen that she recently lost her wonderful furdog, Browny to cancer. If you haven't, please visit the Glitter Daze post about it here.

The two polishes are Browny Bear, named for her beloved dog, and Rainbow Bridge, for the place we all hope our furbabies await us.

100% of the proceeds of the sale of these polishes will go to the National Canine Cancer Foundation. Her goal is to raise $500.

Glitter Daze Browny Bear and Rainbow Bridge

Browny Bear is "a brown and white glitter topcoat with gold accents. It has pink micro glitters as well as matte pink hearts. This polish was created as a tribute to my dog Browny, who passed away unexpectedly from liver cancer. The proceeds of this polish will go to The National Canine Cancer Foundation." I used one coat of this over Nails Inc. Holland Park Avenue and one generous coat of Poshe top coat for the photos. No issues with formula or application. The glitters were suspended perfectly and spread nicely on the nail. I did place the hearts myself though.

Rainbow Bridge is "a multi-sized rainbow glitter topcoat. It has multiple sizes of red, orange, gold, chartreuse, green, blue, and purple glitters as well as gold and silver holographic stars. This polish is very dense and can be layered over a base color or built up to full coverage. This polish was created as a tribute to my dog Browny, who passed away unexpectedly from liver cancer. The proceeds of this polish will go to The National Canine Cancer Foundation."  This one is so jam-packed with glitter that I think you could easily wear it without a base but I've layered one coat over white so you could see the glitters better. I did have to make sure to scrape quite a bit off of the brush before applying, but no issues with formula at all. Everything is nicely suspended and I didn't do any digging or dabbing at all.

What do you think of these? Will you be purchasing these to support the National Canine Cancer Foundation?

I know I have most of the charities I donate to chosen already but I try to leave a bit in my budget for things like this as they come up.

I've lost beloved dogs and I know how badly it hurts your heart. Sending many hugs to Sana. ♥

-----------------------------------------------------------

Because the purpose of this duo is charity and not any type of profit or personal gain, it will only be available in full-sized bottles, and there will be no discount for purchasing both together. She also requests that you do not use your rewards points for a discount toward these polishes, as it will reduce the amount of money going toward the donation.

The polishes are now available at www.GlitterDazeNP.com and retail for $11.00 each.

Glitter Daze St. Patty's Day Party Collection

Not only is it MONDAY but "they" have stolen a full hour of my time! My clock says one thing and every fiber of my being begs to differ. So I thought we'd start out the week with a collection celebrating my favorite holiday. I have Glitter Daze's St. Patty's Day Party Collection to show you. There are two polishes in this collection: Lucky Clover and Heart O' Gold.

Glitter Daze St. Patty's Day Party Collection

------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's what Glitter Daze creator had to say about Lucky Clover:

Lucky Clover is a deep emerald green jelly nail polish with small green flecks, giving it depth and dimension. Emerald was voted the color of 2013 so this polish will be in style all year as well as on St. Patrick’s Day! Apply 3-4 coats of Lucky Clover to reach opacity or layer a couple of coats over your favorite Emerald cream to add a dash of sparkle!

Lucky Clover is a great emerald green jelly glitter polish and I had no issues at all with formula or application. I've used 3 coats of this one alone with one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

Here's what Glitter Daze creator had to say about Heart O' Gold:

Heart O’ Gold is truly a party in a bottle! Filled with white hearts, holographic gold hearts and stars, as well as a multi-sized green and copper glitter, all in a sparkly clear base; this polish will spice up a multitude of manis!

Heart O' Gold is a clear-based glitter polish chock full of various shapes and sizes of glitters. No issues with this one either unless too many hearts is a bad thing. I got so many out that I had to put some back. Everything spread nicely and laid flat. I've layered this one over black and gold in one mani and Lucky clover in another so you could get a good idea of how it looks over different bases. One coat with one generous coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

Over Borghese Lira and a plain black creme on the ring finger...

What do you think of this collection? The jelly is squishy goodness and the copper shimmer/micro-glitter in Heart O' Gold really makes it in my opinion.

These are available for purchase now and you can "like" GlitterDaze on Facebook to stay up-to-date for more information. Polishes retail for $11.00 - 14 mL bottle and $6.00 - 7 mL bottle.

Glitter Daze - New Indie Glitter Polish

Today I have 4 new glitter polishes from a new indie line called Glitter Daze!

Their introductory line is called Love at First Sight and is a Valentine's Day inspired collection consisting of Cupid Hit Me, One Grape Love, Pure Seduction and First Love.

Glitter Daze Love at First Sight Collection (with Seche Vite top coat)
Thumb to Pinky: Cupid Hit Me, One Grape Love, Pure Seduction and
Cupid Hit Me again on the pinky.

I can't seem to get my camera to pick up what a hot pink Cupid Hit Me is!

Descriptions from Glitter Daze's site...

Cupid Hit Me is a fun and flirty hot pink. It is loaded with multi-sized pink and red glitter as well as silver holographic glitter.

I didn't have any harsh smells as you sometimes get with indie glitters. The formula kept the glitters suspended well and they applied evenly and without leaving me with the feeling I needed to try and "place" the glitters. All of these are shown over my bare nails with only two coats, but I'm sure they would look good layered over base colors as well. The coverage was, however, adequate enough that I didn't feel the need for a colored base coat of polish. Glitters were densely packed. I imagine three coats would give full opacity. Also, I only used one coat of Seche Vite which gave me a smooth surface without that "gritty glitter feel."

Glitter Daze polishes are available through their website and blog here for $4.50 each.

So what do you think? Have you been trying indie polishes lately? Will you try these?
