Nails Inc. Bluebelle for InStyle

Just a really quick post this morning because I'm working on a few more great things to show you over the next day or two - Nails Inc. Bluebelle for InStyle.

Nails Inc. Bluebelle is a great light blue - almost periwinkle - creme and the application and formula were fantastic, as with most Nails Inc. cremes.  If you've been reading long, you know I am a huge Nails Inc. fangirl.

Two coats, no top coat for photos. Apologies for whatever I got in the polish on my ring finger - it was not the polish but some sort of fuzz, or more likely, dog hair. LOL! I've covered it somewhat with my watermark in a couple of them.

What do you think of this one? It has just enough purple in the base for it to be my go-to light blue/periwinkle polish.

Nails Inc. polishes are available in limited colors in the US at Sephora.com and a few other e-tailers. Unfortunately, the NailsInc.com site in the UK doesn't ship to the US...yet. Thankfully I have a few friends in the UK. =)

Shimmer Polish Jasmine - Swatches and Review

Good Evening! Continuing Shimmer Polish Week - with Shimmer Polish Jasmine! All Shimmer Polishes have names that come from the creator, Cindy's, own life.

Jasmine is a predominantly aquamarine/light blue glitter polish. Lots of glitters packed in a clear base. As with the others, there were no application issues at all. There is no fishing for anything and it all lies flat on the nail. I layered one coat of this one over Barielle Swizzle Stix - and topped it off with one coat of Gelous. This doesn't have to be layered. The last photo shows two coats alone on a nail wheel...I think 3 coats would give plenty of coverage if you wanted to wear it alone.

Shimmer Polish Jennifer - Swatches and Review

Continuing Shimmer Polish Week - with Shimmer Polish Jennifer! All Shimmer Polishes have names that come from the creator, Cindy's, own life.

Jennifer is a soft, periwinkle blue glitter in a clear base. It's packed with all sorts of glittery goodness including gold, copper, lavender, black and a lot of others. I layered this one over Kiko 401 - the light blue holo, but as with all of them, it doesn't have to be layered. Two coats, perfect application. One coat of Gelous to top it off for all photos. The last photo shows Jennifer alone over a nail wheel so you can see it without a base.

Shimmer Polish Jenny - Swatches and Review

Number 3 of 15! Jenny!

All Shimmer Polishes have names that come from the creator, Cindy's, own life. This one is Jenny.

Jenny reads as a light blue glitter polish at arms length because of the predominance of light blue/turquoise glitters in this one. It's in a clear base and is full of lots of other colors, shapes and sizes of glitter. You can see what it looks like on its own in the last photo where I've layered two coats alone over a nail wheel. The other photos are with one coat over Sinful Colors Lavender as a base and one coat of Gelous to smooth it all out. This is the same as the others in that I had NO issues at all. Great application, no special "placing" of glitter pieces, great coverage, flat, non-curling glitters.

Enchanted Polish Lost My Mind in a Sunrise - Swatches and Review

Good evening! Tonight I have another great Enchanted Polish to show you - Lost My Mind in a Sunrise!

Lost My Mind in a Sunrise is a sheer light blue with flashes of light purple - it's also a linear holo! It's not a strong linear, but it's more than a scattered. Because this one was sheer, I have layered it over other polishes to show you.

First, this is how I ended up wearing it...3 light coats over a medium violet purple. I had no issues with application and did not use a top coat for these photos.

Here's what it looked like with 3 coats over the purple base over the middle finger and only one coat over the purple base on the other fingers...

butter LONDON Fishwife - Swatches and Review

If you've been following butter LONDON recently, you may have noticed SEVERAL new polishes. I've reviewed most of them, but there are a few brand-spanking new ones I'll be showing you soon. Tonight I have butter LONDON Fishwife.

Fishwife is the light blue version of Trustifarian, which I reviewed here. It's a sky blue linear holographic polish and it's quite yummy. It's not a strong linear, but it is linear. It is fairly sheer though so I'm showing you what it looks like built up on its own (on my ring finger) along with what it looks like with one coat over a similar base color (on the other fingers.) I've used Nails Inc. Park Cresent as the "underwear." Formula was easy to work with and I had no issues at all. Three coats alone on ring finger and one coat over a base color on other fingers with no top coat. There's not much difference as you can see, so it's just a matter of whether you're a serial layerer like I am or not as to which you'll prefer.

butter LONDON polishes are available at butterlondon.com and selected retail stores like ULTA (and most recently, Dillard's Department Stores) and they retail for $14.00 for .4 ounces. To stay up-to-date on special deals and offers, you can "like" them on Facebook here. Fishwife is just one of the over 75 colors they offer, in addition to various indulgences for your hands and feet...and even your lips. The nail lacquers are 3-free and butter LONDON is a Cruelty-Free company. That's a major plus for me.

BONUS: I've teamed up with butter LONDON for a GIVEAWAY of three of these polishes. Enter here!

Nubar Absolute - Swatches and Review

Well I'm still wearing my St. Paddy's Day mani so I'm showing you one I swatched before I chopped my nails.

Nubar Absolute was part of the Nubar Prism Collection in early 2010 and is a light blue holo polish. The application was great but not opaque (if used alone) until three coats. The holo is what I call a tightly scattered holo. Definitely not linear but in the right light it *almost* gets there.

I thought it was more sheer than it actually ended up being, so I'm showing you one coat over Sinful Colors Be Happy on the index finger, one coat over Sinful Colors Grecian Sun on the ring finger and three coats alone on the middle and pinky fingers...No top coat.
