Scofflaw Nail Varnish Winter 2014 Collection: I Am the Narwhal

*This product is Cruelty Free

Tonight continues swatches of the new Scofflaw Winter 2014 Collection set to launch January 5th, 2013. Right now I have I Am the Narwhal to show you.

Here's what the creator had to say about this collection and her inspiration: Now, you may have noticed I don't really do 'collections', per se. Only in the most vague way. If the winter collection had a theme, it would be the idea of 'comfort'. My go-to colors. Colors that make me feel cozy. Polish names that give me a warm fuzzy - you get the idea!

I've decided to give each one of these beauties its own post so I could show you both in artificial lighting and indirect natural lighting without trying to keep it short. Then I will do a round-up post so they'll all be in one place for future reference.

Continued after the jump...

WellNails - The North Pole is a Real Place

Press Sample
*This product is Cruelty Free

How about another WellNails polish tonight?  WellNails (an Indie Polish from Denmark and the sister brand to Foxy Paws that I reviewed previously) The North Pole is a Real Place - inspired by the creator's favorite sitcom - How I Met Your Mother.

WellNails The North Pole is a Real Place

The North Pole is a Real Place is described by the maker as follows:

'The North Pole is a real place' comes in a milky white base and is filled with white, ice cold glitter - both hexes and squares - and micro iridescent glitter. Making it appear as frosty snow on your nails.

Actually, it's so cool that your fingers become icy blue at night, when the temperature drops! Just like the at the North Pole... Which is a real place, you know?!
I've found the inspiration for this polish from the episode 'Legendaddy'. Robin is dating a marine biologist, who tells her he's going to the North Pole for a couple of months. So she makes fun him and says, that he doesn't have to make up pretend-worlds if he wants to dump her... And so he does ;)

The formula and application were great. I layered one easy coat over a plain white base with one light coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.  And it glows under blue light! (I used an accent nail of purple to show that it works over other colors besides white in some of the photos. I wish I could remember WHICH purple.) As you well know by now, I am not a photographer. So to get the awesome blue light photos, I sacrificed some photo quality. Sorry, I don't know how to do both!

What do you think of it? Have you tried WellNails yet? It's pretty cool when it's not "glowing" but when it is - WOW! It's so...icy.
