MAC Dark Angel Swatches and Review

MAC Dark Angel

MAC's Dark Angel is from (I think) 2006, but it's now a part of the permanent collection and still available. In addition, it's one of the mini polishes they're releasing with their 2011 Holiday Collection called The Dazzlesphere Collection.

With MAC polishes, I'm never quite sure what I'm going to get. The formulas aren't consistent. I just reviewed MAC's Festive Finery and the formula on that one was spectacular!  Dark Angel is a really pretty opaque dark purple creme (although it could be called a crelly because the first two coats go on like a jelly) and it did get fully opaque as promised. It took three coats to even everything out, though. The first coat was streaky, which doesn't really alarm me because a lot of great polishes are like that. But I had cuticle drag as well. And more cuticle drag on the second coat. It did even out with the third coat though and it's gorgeous.

The first 2 photos are the most color accurate, but it does read differently in various lighting.
