Enchanted Polish Shrimp Cocktail - Swatches and Review

Press Sample
*This product is Cruelty Free

Some of you know where I live - Aransas Pass, Texas - The Shrimp Capital (well it used to be the Shrimp Capital of the World, now it's just Texas and I'm not 100% sure we can still defend that title) and it just so happens that this weekend is the annual Shrimporee - the largest shrimp festival in the world...since 1948. So I figured tonight would be THE perfect night to show you Enchanted Polish's Shrimp Cocktail.

Enchanted Polish Shrimp Cocktail

Shrimp Cocktail is a coral pink shimmer dream. It's a bright, pink-leaning coral with tons of golden shimmer (and what appears to be some pink shimmer as well) and I've used two coats and one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos. The first coat seems sheer and you're just sure you're going to need more than two coats but lo and behold, that second coat works its magic! Two coats for opacity. Formula and application were both amazing and I have no issues to report at all.

W.I.C. by Herôme Edinburgh - Swatches and Review

Anyone who knows me will understand that I couldn't possibly pass up a nail polish called Edinburgh. It's my favorite place on earth, after all!  After I tried WIC Kingston, (<---click to see the review) I knew I had to try more of these polishes, but Herôme is a Dutch brand. I don't speak Dutch. If Paypal hadn't been glitchy when I tried to order more from their site, www.herome.com, I would have succeeded thanks to Google Chrome translating (somewhat) it for me. (EDITED TO ADD: Thanks to Iroshi Windwalker who commented below - there is a button at the top right to switch to English once you go to the Online Shop page. Doh!)

So, a really sweet person, who just happens to live in the Netherlands got them for me. THANKS GWEN!!!! ♥ Check out Gwen's blog here.

This kicks off WIC Week here at Pointless Cafe and there's no way I could have started it off with anything OTHER than Edinburgh.

Edinburgh is a great forest green with lots of golden shimmer and it almost looks like a green/blue duochrome in certain lighting which I tried to capture in the photos. It's a metallic-like finish (I wouldn't call it a true metallic) that goes on easily and smoothly. One coat would probably do it, but I used two out of habit. Their brushes are flat, medium-width and cut well. (The width is smaller than Dior, but wider than normal brushes - the perfect size for my nails.) Dries to a shiny finish. Shown here with no top coat, but I added one later, as always.

The depth and variation of color in this one really is fantastic and needs to be seen in person to appreciate.

They DO ship to the US and navigating their website isn't difficult. You can check out through Paypal and the process seemed pretty easy (except for the Paypal glitchiness issue that night, which had nothing to do with Herôme) so I say if you can read Dutch or use Google Chrome as your browser, you can order with ease. They retail for  7.50. (Which is close to $10 as I type this.)

What do you think?  Do you have any of this brand?
