Fall Nail Art:
Pumpkinhead Scarecrow

Happy Saturday! Today I have a really quick Autumn/Halloween mani for you...a pumpkin head scarecrow!

For this mani, I used a base of OPI My Vampire is Buff - the rest is freehanded with acrylic paint.

I was watching Doctor Who Family of Blood/Human Nature and the scarecrows just inspired me!

Have you started autumn manis yet? Have you picked out your halloween mani? If not check out these 24 spooky nail art ideas I put together for you!

Thanks for checking it out!

Indie Inlinkz: Favorite Fall Color

***

Indie Inlinkz
Favorite Fall Color

Hi all! Once a month several bloggers get together to show our support for indie polish makers, discuss our favorite colors, basically all topics. And at the bottom, you will see a link-up where you can click on all the participating bloggers' posts. Today we have for you our Favorite Fall Color.

As usual, I never have a definitive answer about anything aesthetic. If you tell me "pick one" I will have a reason to choose at least 2 and sometimes more.

Mostly, I'd say my favorite colors for Fall are browns. So I've done this "amended" freehand argyle for you.

Of course I applied a matte top coat. I rarely do that with plain polish, but I gravitate toward it for nail art and unless it's the glare when photographing it or it covers little mistakes, I have no idea why.

Here it is shiny...

But I suppose if you were asking about my favorite indie polish for Fall? It would probably be Elevation Polish The Arches 2. It's not red, it's not orange, it's not brown. It's just...well, FALL!

What is YOUR favorite shade for Fall?

Be sure and check the links below!

HPB Presents: Autumnal Leaves - Fall Nail Art

***

Happy Monday everyone! This week the members of Hobby Polish Bloggers will be presenting an Autumn-themed mani for you and mine is freehand leaves and an acorn.

I put down a base of OPI My Vampire is Buff (purchased by me) and used acrylic paints to do a conglomeration of random leaves with an acorn.

With a shiny top coat before the acorn...

With Girly Bits matte top coat (purchased by me)...

And finally with the acorn...

Autumn Argyle Nail Art

Nothing to Disclose

Watching the weather this morning from the "relative" warmth of South Texas makes me think we skipped right over Autumn straight to Winter! But we haven't. Today I have a free-hand argyle in Fall shades for you.

Autumn Argyle

For this mani I used a base of Zoya Spencer with Nyssa for the chocolate brown and Emilie for the darker brown lines. The autumn orange shade is Nails Inc. Fenchurch Street. I finished it off with a coat of Zoya's Matte Velvet Top Coat.

I'm not good at all with cell pics, but I think my iPhone shots of this one actually turned out better this time LOL!

In the last one I used Different Dimension All That Glitters is Not Gold to line the autumn orange and chocolate brown shades.

Don't forget to share your Autumn nail art on the Pointless Cafe Facebook page  or tag me on IG (@pointlesscafe) any time!

Happy Painting!
