Ho Ho Ho!

Tonight I have the new Darling Diva Ho-Ho-Holiday Collection for Winter 2015 for you! I have to admit, I've not been in much of a holiday mindset lately. Not my favorite time of the year really. But I do love being home where I belong and I have a feeling when it finally feels like Winter I will be blaring Christmas music and rocking Christmas manis like nobody's business! Wearing these really helped.

There are 8 new polishes in the collection, two of which are toppers.

Meet me after the jump for swatches and reviews...

Ho-Ho-Holiday Collection

I actually had sun today so all of these are in sun and shade and when I couldn't quite show it right because of the sparkle in full sun, I've done artificial light photos.

A Christmas Story - Christmas in a bottle. This is a Christmas red-tinted jelly base loaded with red, green and holo micro-glitter and shimmer. Three coats with one coat of top coat for the photos.
*This is a re-release of sorts. It's a much redder version that the original from 2012, which you can see here.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Forced Family Fun - This is a black-based scattered holo-bomb. Is holo-bomb a thing? It was super sparkly and blingy. Two coats with one coat of top coat. No issues at all to report.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Groped Under the Mistletoe - This is one of the odd polishes that is less color-accurate in full sun. It's a great raspberry shade that appears more red in direct sun. I see a scattered holo with micro-flakes and tone of holo shimmer. Two coats with one coat of top coat. No issues at all.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Holiday Balls in Yo Face - *giggle* Okay, this one is a clear-based circle glitter topper positively full of shimmer with several sizes of metallic circle glitters in red, green, silver holo and white. No issues - they all came out of the bottle nicely and plentifully. I used one coat over A Christmas Story and Yes, It's A Fake Tree (on the accent nail) with one coat of top coat. *Because of the way the light is hitting them they almost look 3D here but they laid perfectly flat and smooth on the nail. I top coated the mani before I added this one and they look like they're floating!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MOAR WINE NAO! - This is the one you need to see in the artificial light photos to appreciate to the fullest. It is a sexy mulberry with a strong metalure-type holo that shows as major scattered holo in the sun. Two coats and one coat of top coat. Perfection.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wrapping Paper Coma - is a sweet, juicy, strawberry candy crelly full of holo shimmer and various sizes of glitters and shards. I'm not sure if they're pink and purple and silver or if the juicy color of the base is changing their appearance. I used three light coats of this one for opacity and one coat of top coat.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, It's a Fake Tree - But a happy little tree nonetheless! This is a perfectly Christmasy green linear holo with golden shimmer and gold and blue holo arcs, giving it so much depth. Two easy, perfect coats with one coat of top coat for the photos.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You Killed Frosty - This is a clear-based topper chock full of rainbow and clear iridescent glitters and shards. I've used one coat over MOAR WINE NAO! first and then one coat over a plain black creme so you could see it in all its glory. One coat of top coat for each mani.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What do you think of these? What are your favorites? It should come as no surprise to my long-time readers that MOAR WINE NAO! is my favorite. I mean did you SEE that artificial light swatch? Yes, It's a Fake Tree and Wrapping Paper Coma round out my top 3.

  1. A Christmas Story is so festive, but I think the huge glitters steal the show! I love how Holiday Balls In Yo Face can make green nails look like a Christmas Tree closeup! So cute!!!
