The Digit-al Dozen Does Metals: Day 3 - Steampunk

Nothing to Disclose

The Digit-al Dozen
Does METALS

I'm not 100% sure of what I ended up with, but it started with "steampunk" in my head and also the time-turner/clock tower scene in Harry Potter. So I sort of got a mix of the two? When I'm doing my nails, I usually put in something I've seen to watch on TV - so I have something to listen to without feeling like I will miss something - without stopping and watching and forgetting what I'm trying to do. Which still happens now and then. So I usually have in Top Gear on Netflix. Or Midsomer Murders. Or a Harry Potter DVD. I'm pretty sure The Prisoner of Azkaban was on while I was doing this one.

If we ever do a theme that Jeremy Clarkson fits into - or even Detective Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby -  I'm pretty sure I'll kick that theme's butt! I'm also pretty sure those shows are more popular here in the US than in the UK. I'm probably letting my DERP show.

I used a base of Pure Ice Black Velour except on the ring and thumb where I used a random gold polish I can't remember at the moment - and trying to find it on my desk after I've slept, or walked off with it, is futile. For the designs I used acrylic paint and two sizes of striper brushes.

Did I mention I struggled with this theme? But I've done worse. And as usual, I ended up having fun with it!

Two more to go!

  4. I dunno, Top Gear's pretty popular over here too. Despite the fact that Jeremy Clarkson is an utter twonk who doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut.
