Girly Bits Black Eyed Susan - Swatches and Review

Happy Saturday!

Today I have another Girly Bits polish to show you - Black Eyed Susan.

Being in Texas, there's no shortage of the real Black-Eyed Susans. They're everywhere...

Black Eyed Susan is  a clear base with multiple sizes of hex and square matte yellow glitters, gold holo micro-glitter and metallic green and metallic brown/copper hex glitter. Since the real black-eyed susans look so pretty against the vast Texas sky, I decided to layer it over a sky blue polish. Here I've used Nails Inc. Bluebell for the base and one coat of Gelous to make it smooth to the touch. I had no issues with this one at all - all the glitter pieces laid perfectly flat and I didn't have to dig for any. I got a great mix on each nail.

What do you think of this one? Yellow hates me, but with the good mix of green and brown/copper glitter pieces and the blue "underwear" it's wearable for me.

Girly Bits polishes are available on Big Cartel and are also available at llarowe.com and Harlow & Co. for $10 to $13 retail for full .5 oz bottles.Don't forget to follow Pam at Girly Bits on Facebook and on her blog for updates.

  5. It's stunning!!! I have a question for you, if you don't mind. What kind of camera to you use to take your pictures? I am in the market for a new camera and your pictures along with your micro shots are to die for.

    1. It's a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ28 - I have no idea what that means or anything about photography, so if the photos are decent, it's all the camera IN SPITE of me...not because of me.
