It's like the brush is too skimpy or something. The color comes out streaky in the first coat and when I get the second coat on, it's almost too sticky, if that makes sense. I'm about to throw this one in the trash but I got a few more Essies (it was one of their blocks of 4 mini colors) and I'd hate to trash them all.Peacebug and The Bosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17188869840297991973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6385341912889245802.post-86887569507903566002011-11-06T19:11:34.882-06:002011-11-06T19:11:34.882-06:00Thanks for the suggestion PB! I'm so not an expert and doubt I could give any useful pointers, but I'll think about it and see if I have any tips to share and base/top coat recommendations... *thinking*ScottishLass10https://www.blogger.com/profile/00578733764146865084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6385341912889245802.post-47482485780589742992011-11-06T18:11:00.587-06:002011-11-06T18:11:00.587-06:00Ooooh! I wonder if you...Ooooh! I like that one a lot!

I wonder if you'd consider doing a post on base/top coat recommendations, as well as pointers on doing your own mani. I got my first Essie polish ever (Power Clutch) and I've done five manis with it in the last week and all of them came out carpy. I usually use OPI Rapid Dry Topcoat but I've been trying to use up my Sally Hansen Double Duty base/top coat. I have had a hard time with the polish in general so I don't think it's all related to the base/top, but I'd love to read an expert's DIY advice.

My top tip: get the professional remover. What a difference, especially with the darker shades!Peacebug and The Bosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17188869840297991973noreply@blogger.com
