Elevation Polish Pic du Gar - Swatches and Review

Today I have a great Elevation Polish to show you - Pic du Gar!

Elevation Polish Pic du Gar

Pic du Gar is described by the creator as follows:

Description: Plum purple creme leans a little to the red side of purple.

Finish: Creme (medium shine)

Inspiration: The Pyrénées is a mountain range separating Spain from France. Pic du Gar is located on the French side of the Pyrénées. All I remember of my trip was How purple/plum Pic du Gar looked from far away. The closer we got the more intense the color of the limestone became. Up close the limestone color played tricks on the eye. It wasn't until up close that you really got a sense of the color.

HOWEVER, as I see this lovely polish, it's a fantastic jelly (or *maybe* a crelly) not a creme. It is a great violet based purple and it's one of those that lives to make cameras everywhere NUTS! Well, cameras operated by me anyway. I had the hardest time capturing the color. The application and formula were great and I used three coats to achieve opacity. I opted NOT to apply top coat to this one because it's just so yummy without it. I love the finish just as it dried.

First THIS is what I got...

Then FINALLY I found the right light (or accidentally hit the right button on the camera?) and was able to get these photos which ARE actually color-accurate. WHEW!

Isn't it lovely? It's got sort of a "rubbery/squishy" appearance when it dries, which is why I'm calling it a jelly. What do you think? Have you tried Elevation Polishes yet?

Elevation Polishes are available at her shop here and retail for $8 for full-sized bottles. You can also follow her blog for news, re-stock information, new collections, etc.  Polishes retail for $8.00
